Dr. Berg discussed what fast foods you can eat while on keto (ketogenic diet). These foods are not on the healthiest version of ketogenic diet because the quality is not there, but it is low carb and the benefit of low carb is huge. It is recommended not do this on a regular basis or don’t make it a habit, it is sometimes a situation where certain foods are unavailable. And note that some of these foods have MSG that causes a problem with the blood sugars.

    In Texas, we have whataburger. They have a great breakfast platter (eggs, bacon/sausage, and biscuit) you can order and just not eat the biscuit it comes with. They also do bunless burgers outside of breakfast hours.

    Fortunately, in the UK, the ingredients in a McDonalds burger pattie consists of beef, salt and pepper and nothing else. Although I believe the cheese is still that processed crap.

    I can only eat fast food. As a truck driver I'm limited on space in my truck and I have to eat what is at truck stops

    Ah one thing about five guys..: their mushrooms are made with high fructose corn syrup so they’re a NO. The other veggies are fine

    Yup today for lunch I got a double patty burger wrapped in lettuce. Just got pickles. It was delicious! Kept me satisfied. Not everyone can afford or have access to grass fed organic beef 100% of the time so it’s nice to have options.

    What if I don’t have a kitchen to cook in? I don’t have an area where I can prepare food! I just rent out a bedroom and don’t have access to a kitchen!
    So all my choices are just eating out and buying something ready-to-eat at the grocery store like Peanut Butter, Bananas, pre-made smoothies, etc…
    I do eat from the hot bar at Whole Foods sometimes and I get my veggies from there once in a blue moon!

    One of my favourite pizza places (sadly an hour away from me now) does one of my favourite pizzas (fresh garlic (as opposed to jarred), spinach, tomatoes broccoli and feta) as a low carb dish with grilled chicken. Okay, not exactly fast or cheap….but it is amazing.

    Once you're fat adapted you can cheat quite frequently just don't make it a habit – but before no questions you gotta do high fat low carb
